Addition Will Enhance Combined Business in the UK Market
LOS ANGELES (April 1, 2005) — AECOM, the US parent of Faber Maunsell, announced the addition of the UK-based engineering firm, Bullen Consultants Limited. Bullen will join the Faber Maunsell group.
Bullen has over 500 employees with offices throughout the UK. The company provides consulting engineering services in highways, rail, water, environment, and buildings. Bullen is a highly regarded privately owned company and has been in business for over 60 years. The company is fully committed to quality and excellence and enjoys a loyal client base, which has generated sustained growth over recent years.
Faber Maunsell's CEO, Ken Dalton, welcomes Bullen to the AECOM family and believes their complementary fit of high expertise and geographical spread will enhance our combined business in the UK market for the future. Looking ahead, Bullen's managing director, Richard Taylor, and director, Gordon Pomphrey, will join the Faber Maunsell Executive Management Group. The retiring Bullen chairman, Desmond Scott, will work as a consultant during the transition period particularly with highway sector key clients. Desmond will continue to fulfill his role as Chairman of ACE.
Richard Taylor sees the merger with Faber Maunsell as a great platform offering wider opportunities for the staff and the company.
The combined company will comprise over 2,500 employees in 30 offices across the UK offering comprehensive expertise in buildings, environment, and transportation.
