|AECOM Adds LA Business, Civic Leader to Board of Directors|
Appointment Broadens Board in Line with Ongoing Company Growth
LOS ANGELES (June 1, 2005) — AECOM, the global design and management company, added businesswoman, experienced independent director, and community leader Linda Griego as an independent member of its Board of Directors. With 19,000 employees and annual revenues of over $2 billion, AECOM serves the transportation, environmental, and facilities markets through a family of operating companies. The appointment of Ms. Griego, who has over 20 years of business and civic experience, broadens the AECOM Board of Directors, which now has 11 members.
Ms. Griego, managing partner of Engine Co. No. 28–the downtown Los Angeles restaurant she founded in 1988, has served in a number of leading positions during her career. She was interim president and chief executive officer of the Los Angeles Community Development Bank from 1999 to 2000; a member of NAFTA's North American Development Bank Community Adjustment Committee from 1995 to 1999; president and chief executive officer of Rebuild LA from 1994 to 1997; special advisor to the late U.S. Secretary of Commerce Ron Brown on economic development in Southern California in 1993; and deputy mayor and chief of protocol to Mayor Tom Bradley from 1991 to 1993. Ms. Griego currently serves on the advisory board of directors of US Bank and recently concluded a six-year term as a Los Angeles director of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. She also currently serves on the boards of Granite Construction Inc. and the Southwest Water Company as well as a trustee of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
