Firms Bring Together Global and Regional Engineering Expertise
LOS ANGELES (June 13, 2005) — AECOM announced that J. F. Thompson Inc. will join the TCB group of companies, which includes Turner Collie & Braden, SURVCON and P&D Consultants, by a target date of August 2005. Both TCB and Thompson Inc. are engineering firms based in Houston, Texas.
“The combination of TCB's 900 employees and Thompson's 100 employees will leverage the collective expertise of both firms, which have long served public works, transportation, natural resources, and private sector clients,” said James R. Royer, who oversees the TCB group of companies and serves as chief executive officer of AECOM's Americas Regional Group.
Upon the close of the transaction, James F. Thompson will become president of Turner Collie & Braden, succeeding Paul Voinis, who will retire at year-end.
Mr. Thompson termed the deal a boon to Thompson employees and clients. “We are delighted to become part of TCB and the AECOM family of companies with its broad-based global capabilities and expertise,” he said.
