LOS ANGELES (Sept. 15, 2005) — AECOM, the global design and management company, has appointed John M. Dionisio, 57, effective October 1, 2005, as Chief Executive Officer and President, positions previously held by Richard G. Newman, 70, and Raymond A. Holdsworth, 62, respectively. Newman will remain as Chairman, and Holdsworth has been named Vice Chairman – Corporate Development. Jim Royer, 59, was appointed Chief Operating Officer concurrently, succeeding Dionisio in that role. AECOM has 22,000 employees worldwide and expected annual revenues of approximately $2.5 billion for fiscal year 2005. The company provides design and management services in the transportation, facilities, and environmental markets through a group of operating companies.
“On behalf of the AECOM Board of Directors, I'm pleased to announce these key appointments for our long-time executives. I am confident that with our executive management team's commitment to creating value for our clients and shareholders, we will continue our global growth and professional leadership,” said AECOM Chairman Newman.
Dionisio also was named a member of the AECOM Board of Directors. His thirty-plus year career has included senior management positions on AECOM's corporate staff and at AECOM operating company DMJM Harris, which he headed prior to being named AECOM Chief Operating Officer in 2004. “AECOM has an impressive record of global growth, and I intend to build upon that legacy. We take enormous pride in our phenomenal staff and project achievements throughout the world, and will continue to champion excellence in everything we do,” commented Dionisio.
Royer has over 35 years of professional experience and most recently served as the head of AECOM's Facilities and Government Groups, following senior management roles in several AECOM operating companies. “I look forward to broadening our global resources to assure that the AECOM group of companies continues to be leaders in our ever-changing profession,” stated Royer.
